Okey Guide

Okey Rules

The core Okey loop is simple: draw a tile, improve your rack, and discard one tile. The strategy comes from choosing what to keep, what to throw, and when to finish.

Turn rules

On your turn, draw a tile from the stack or take the latest discarded tile, then discard one tile from your rack.

Because discards are visible, every tile you throw can give information to the table.

Runs and groups

A run uses consecutive numbers in the same color. A group uses the same number in different colors.

The okey tile can replace a missing tile in these combinations.

Pairs mode

In pairs mode, the goal is to build matching pairs instead of normal runs and groups.

This changes how you evaluate draws, discards, and risk.

Finishing rules

A player finishes by arranging all tiles into valid combinations and discarding the final extra tile.

Play2Chat validates finish attempts against the rules before ending the hand.

FAQ

Do I discard every turn?

Yes. After drawing, you end your turn by discarding one tile.

What does the indicator do?

The indicator determines which tile acts as the okey for that hand.

Can I finish with an invalid rack?
