101 Okey Rules
The core rules, meld values, and scoring of 101 Okey. The goal is to play with the fewest points.
Meld types and values
There are two valid meld types:
- Run: 3+ consecutive tiles of the same color; value is the sum of numbers.
- Set: 3-4 tiles of the same number in different colors; value is number × count.
- The okey (joker) counts as the value of the tile it replaces.

Scoring
Scores accumulate as penalties each hand:
- Finisher: −101 points (−202 if finishing by discarding the okey).
- Opened but did not finish: penalty equal to remaining tile values.
- Never opened: +101 penalty.
End of game
The game ends when a player's total exceeds 101.
The player with the lowest total score wins.

What is the benefit of finishing with the okey?
Discarding the okey (joker) to finish doubles your finishing bonus to −202.
When does the game end?
When a player's accumulated score passes 101; the lowest total wins.
What if I cannot open?
If the hand ends and you never opened, you receive a +101 penalty.
